Certosa di Calci

Certosa di Calci - Pisa

7 km from Pisa lies this beautiful convent of Calci. It was built in 1366 and is situated in a valley called " Graziosa", the lovely valley, called like this because of the beautiful landscape.

During the Napoleonic period this building was conquered by the Italian State even if the Certosino Order continued to stay there. Today this Convent is under the protection of "Soprintendenza per I Beni Ambientali, Artistici e Storici di Pisa", and it is possibile to visit it entirerly.

Pisa's Coast

Pisa's Coast includes the small villages of Marina di Pisa, Tirrenia, Calambrone and part of the Natural Park of San Rossore, Migliarino, Massaciuccoli.
